It works for some of my kids. Others need a prescription. It's good to try it first before going with a prescription that has more side effects.

My son uses melatonin. First he started out with 3mg but as time went in about 4 months or so it just stopped working and he couldnt sleep or stay asleep. I spoke with the doctor and she said to give him melatonin 5mg (he takes a vegan type of melatonin because other brands have ingridients which he is allergic too). The doctor also said to give him a gummy from olly goodbye stress and it works great. My son sleeps good and he is not crashing during the day and he is bot angry due to lack of sleep... you can buy the gummies on amazon goodbye stress by olly which is natually ingridients. It works great. I only give my son 1 gummy. It seems kind of strong i feel like. I even take one when i am very stressed out and i swear it works atleast for me. It relaxes me but i take it at night and i sleep like a baby

@A MyAutismTeam Member yes this is to aide falling sleep. doc said btwn 1-3mgs and to incrementally see which amt is helpful. and to discontinue if no effect or obviously any concern
