Some of my relatives suspect other relatives as being on the spectrum. My Dad passed away in 2014 but some think he may have been on the spectrum and same goes for a niece. It started because my daughter was clearly ASD around the age of four.

I learned I was autistic when I was 26, through my own research. I went for a formal diagnosis at just shy of 31. It was one of the most validating experiences I've ever had! 😊

One of my older kids was very open to the idea of a formal diagnosis. Another wanted nothing to do with it. I respected his feeling on it, and he never got a diagnosis.
