My almost 5 years old son absolutely loves the rain, and he dances in it, wellies on jump, jump, jump, jumping in all the puddles.

My son used to like going out even in the rain but now he understands better to stay home. Not sure if gotten less strong or just mind now telling him he should not go out in rain. But scared of lighting and thunder.

My son will go out in any kind of weather. But I don't think he understands in some weather that it could be bad to go out in.

Yes, my son was the opposite. He liked the rain, and hated sunny days especially when he was younger in preschool. It sounds like your daughter wants to be prepared.

At school, my son’s class talks about the calendar and weather, and even the appropriate clothes to wear based on the weather. Maybe you can check the weather apps, a video on YouTube, or watch the news before she leaves for school.
