My son received ABA very early. First early intervention at 2.5 years old, then he received ABA in preschool from the local school district. He stopped when he was 6 years old. It helped him a lot…the earlier the better. Looking back I should have started services at 18 months. But his pediatrician told me to wait until he turns 2 years old because he might reach milestones.

In my opinion the more ABA and speech you can get early on will allow better communication and interaction when they start attending school. We started our now 7 year old in school at 5 and now have pulled him out and are doing full days of ABA, speech, OT, and PT combined with home schooling because he was being put into classrooms with kids his age and he was no where near functioning at his age level.

God bless each of you and your special children I pray you get the help you need safely.
