First of all, I have to say that I LOVE his shirt! π I've been a HUGE Sonic fan since I was 9 (I'm now 42).
As for behavior, the important thing to remember is that all behavior serves a function. Is there something he needs that he is trying to obtain? Is he in any discomfort at those times? Does he simply have too much energy and emotions for his body to process? Does he communicate verbally or through other means? Hope this helps π
My son is 9, almost 10, and his aggression has greatly improved since 3 years old. He was diagnosed at 2 1/2yrs old. It took a lot of repetition and growing up. He had a very bad bout of aggression. It ended up being because of his adhd medicine. Changed that and so much better. He still hits his siblings but it has greatly decreased. When I point out to him what he did was wrong and why, he actually is somewhat remorseful and apologizes. Long road but great improvement.
I have this same problem too. It usually takes big bear hugs and deep breaths. We'll growl like bears then do deep breaths together. If i don't hold his hands he will smack himself or others.
