Playing kitchen and chef when I was younger felt like an art canvas for what I want on my plate and try things
Start a kid garden and have them interact what they can grow.

Strategies to Help
Create a Calm Environment:
Ensure meals are a positive, low-pressure experience to ease anxiety and encourage food acceptance.
Offer Choices:
Giving your child some control by offering choices of foods can empower them and reduce conflict around mealtimes.
Gradual Food Introduction:
Introduce new foods in small portions alongside preferred foods, increasing exposure over time to build familiarity.
Involve the Child:
Allow your child to help with meal planning and preparation to increase their interest and connection to the food.
Use Positive Reinforcement:
Praise specific desired behaviors, such as trying a new food or staying seated at the table, to reinforce them.
Address Medical Issues:
If you suspect underlying issues like gastrointestinal problems, consult a gastroenterologist to rule out or treat conditions that could be impacting eating.
Seek Professional Support:
Work with an occupational therapist to address sensory issues or oral-motor challenges that may be contributing to feeding difficulties.

For picky eating challenges, here are some helpful strategies:

• Pack familiar foods and snacks when eating away from home
• Create a consistent food routine and environment
• Start a dialogue with your child's healthcare providers about nutrition
• Consider working with an occupational therapist who can help develop strategies for food acceptance
• Focus on making mealtimes calm and predictable For engaging activities that support learning without overstimulation:

• Work with an occupational therapist to create a personalized "sensory diet" of activities
• Incorporate learning opportunities into daily routines
• Keep activities simple and structured
• Allow for sensory breaks when needed
• Focus on one skill at a time
• Create opportunities for safe "trial and error" learning

Remember that each child is unique - what works for one may not work for another. The key is finding the right balance of activities that engage your child while respecting their sensory needs.
