I see other kids want a drivers license, hunting license, buying things related to their hobbies etc and taking steps to do it. Mine says she wants to drive but won't open the book, wants her HS diploma but won't do the work etc. I am very goal oriented so this is very hard to wrap my mind around.
I think a lot of times people with autism do better at reaching large goals if they are broken down into smaller more manageable goals. At least that's what I have been told in therapy.
Maybe add a weighted blanket? They have different hefts. I bought a Minecraft one for my son that is relatively light. He likes to sleep with it on every night.
