omg! um. hmm... try Nami... they might have some info. look around in Boston - i know they have alot of great spectrum help for kids... or i've heard, i'm clear in WA.

Stop reacting to bullying the way she is?! Kids who aren't on the spectrum have difficulty at times, now add someone with a disability and it becomes harder. I hope you find the right person and soon! And I'm sorry, but reading your response has made me angry...you can never be too close to your child and as a parent we are responsible in making sure they are taken care of. What are the current lawyers telling you?

Do NOT send your daughter to an institution. It seems as though they are looking for the easy way out. Here in TX the school district is responsible for sending any child on the spectrum to a school designed only for Autistic kids if the school fails to provide what the child needs. They sometimes even have to provide the transportation. I hate you are going through this. My son is in 2nd grade and I just had him switched from one school to another where they had a program within the school for Autistic kids. I had to fight because they didn't want to transfer him. It is very important that your daughter be somewhere where others are on the spectrum with her. See (if you haven't already) if there are any schools in your area or near by that are designed for Autistic kids and see what needs to be done to have her transfered. Hope this helps!

Maybe an educational advocate, this is a lawyer, would be a good option. My daughter has one for her 7 year old with ASD who will be attending the next IEP meeting.
