Already destroyed one crib mattress rail. He is getting older & destruction is happening quicker. The rail is 100$ each time & the crib itself was under 300$ so
I don’t intend to keep spending $$$. How much longer before the whole cribs frame has had it? 😬 He isn’t developmentally mature enough to be out of his crib & wandering free. I don’t care how many safety precautions there are it isn’t safe. Anyone faced this issue with their jumping toddler? Helpful tips or suggestions welcomed

Sorry ... forgot to add with a safety gate on the bedroom door.
Looks like a video clip from inside my home. I moved my son to a mattress on the floor. Don’t know if that’s an option for you.
We have one but I was told to not allow use an hour before bed. That seemed to keep him up & energized longer. We follow a schedule for school & I have a plan laid out for jumping time. I was thinking maybe he just loves the feeling of the bed. He jumps & somersaults in there. I was looking into some equestrian therapy to see if maybe he just needs a little more sensory input than what we are already doing. They do have special needs beds that don’t allow for jumping or injury & the price tag alone is enough to make you sick. It also wouldn’t help the cause, the need for input.
A trampoline?
My son is 6 and he’s always been a jumper. He still is. He catapults from dresser to mattress to a recliner. I’ve had to replace a mattress bc he broke a spring and same for a couch. Get him a small fitness trampoline like pure fun brand for inside. That one is quality. if you can invest in a yard large trampoline with a safety net that will help. It’s probably sensory related. It will help burn some of his sensory seeking needs. It helped my son. Taking him to a sensory gym or a place where he can jump for an hour. Ours is called velocity. Let me know if I can be of further help. I totally can related.
