Help my ex wont give my son his meds on the weekends or vacation time he has him. so my son goes days without it and comes home more upset and violent with his sisters and me. My doctor said to give my son benedryl with his melatonin if the melatonin wasnt working but I dont know how much he is 3 and a half and weighs about 26 pounds does anyone know?

What criteria do you use to evaluate your speech therapist? What are the red flags for bad/mediocre therapists? What are the indicators that the therapist is good?

How do you evaluate a speech therapy provider? Does it matter?

I decided to pull my son from a block of group therapies 2 sessions for 3 weeks starting last week on 16th and 18th, he starts nursery school in September as do I (first 2 weeks parents are in the background and on hand if needs be) and I feel that since we only stopped with another therapist on the 15th July that we both need a break before acutual school starts. My daughter is not around other males much except for my husband. The place where she has her ABA wants her to try a male therapist out and slowly get her used to men. I agreed to only let her have her sessions with him at the office, because I feel a stranger especially a male should not come in our home unless she is comfortable as I want her to feel safe in her own home. What is the purpose of ABA therapy and how do you know when to stop going? Our child is 3.5 HFA and has met all of his goals and now he is getting new goals. I wonder about graduating from ABA. Is it only for problem and repetitive behaviors? Is it for stopping stemming like lining up cars and hand flapping? Thanks

I am in need of advice, my daughter has been in ABA theraphy for the past year. She is very bored and does not want to play with the therapist toys and keeps signing all done. She even lost interest in her own toys and activities that she use to enjoy. I don't understand what's happening. We try new things, but I am running out of ideas and it's getting a bit ridiculous having to have new toys brought out at her theraphy sessions. I am starting ABA therapy finally with my 28 month old son. It's in-home therapy. I got the approval letter yesterday from insurance and now the ABA therapist people are going to call me to make an appointment for the first visit. What should I expect? They will determine how much therapy and other things at this first meeting I think. Anyone with advice that might help me? I would greatly appreciate it.
