Our daughter who is now 40 was diagnosed as an adult was a very angry teen and still has difficulty controlling her emotions. She saw counselor’s and we were told she was “a strong willed child” that doesn’t scratch the surface of the symptoms of Aspergers. I don’t pretend to know the answer to deal with each episode but what helps me is to remember it is not personal the outbursts are a coping mechanism for them. I often remind myself to show her unconditional love the same love God has for me!

I'm not a teen, but still tend to react to my emotions similarly to how I did at that time :) Luckily, I don't get angry often. When I do, it's quick to pass. I usually end up crying out of frustration. Once it's out of my system, I bounce back pretty quickly :)
