I got scammed by therapists provider and they were asking for ongoing payments 12 weeks or more whereas I was just on their free trial period for a day. They took payment for the week but then I cancelled card. It really did not put therapy in goodlight for me

Always take the extra time to do your research before investing in anything involving spending your money. Therapy has nothing to do with the context of dealing with bad people. Either the therapy itself works or you need to look elsewhere. In your case you met the people who use predatory practices to prey on unassuming consumers. TBF it's fine it happens all the time in various sectors but we need to limit the damage asap. My Lela was receiving speech therapy and I was assured they were properly trained to help uniquely abled children naturally that wasn't exactly factual. While the first therapist had some knowledge her replacement was clueless. When I learned the normal therapist was taking her career elsewhere it thankfully coincided with my Lela getting in her private school so our cancelation came at the right time. Human behavior can unfortunately be the difference between getting help or receiving wishful thinking or worse, there's no penalty for being to overly cautious or safe.

I have been in therapy off and on from 14-30. Met some crazy ones. Met some good ones. It's like rolling dice but definitely read reviews and research if possible.

That stinks I'm sorry u got scammed :(
I did therapy as a child cuz my mom didn't know I was autistic n thought something was wrong with me. As adult I have not done therapy just for the facts 1, I don't handle new places new environments well .
2, I don't like meeting new people
3, it would cause more anxiety and nausea, n have a worse effect on me than helping.
This is also why my mom stopped therapy for me as child cuz I would be double over crying ( it caused so much stomach pains) my mom even took me hospital... It made me so sick n I handle anxiety n things much worse back than.
