I am looking for a elementary school in San Diego that have good special ed programs for my autistic son. We live in san Diego unified school district boundary. I wonder if it's complicated to enroll for schools in another district for a kid with IEP?

I will be moving to San Diego soon. My boys aged 12 and 6 are in the autism spectrum. Both had their clinical diagnosis done when they were 4 and 3 years old respectively. Both diagnosis were done in Ontario, Canada. I am seeking help in navigating through San Diego autism services, will the diagnosis report we have be enough to get them an IEP for school? otherwise how do we get them an IEP? Any suggestion on clinical psychologist in San Diego area? Many thanks.
The schools will redetermine each child's Autism levels and thyen assign them their IEP..
We are planning to move from Canada to San Diego. My boys are in the spectrum, one in low functioning autism spectrum with good interest in art and music and the other in mild spectrum range with tantrums.
I am seeking suggestion on which school district is better for kids in low function spectrum. Advice on advocating for getting them into school program that would help them. How does transportation work for kids in spectrum. Thanks in advance..
If you're working with a realtor, ask them. Even though I didn't end up purchasing a home, I learned a lot from a realtor that was in a city I thought of moving too.
