I would live to hear from others who have finished and already have the dog or going through the process.
We are using 4paws for ability and can't wait. Any helpful hints or tips?
Recently noticed my son has bags under his eyes. He was tested 6months ago for allergies and was told he does not. He's verbal but to a certain extent. Not sure what could be causing the bags. Anyone else have the same problem with their toddlers eyes?
If there are sleep issues, you should talk your doctor. Melatonin might help.
I found one but kids have to be between 2-7 to get on a 2yr wait list. Jake is now 10 and doesn't qualify for their program. I am willing to travel some, but it would be difficult for Jake to go too far for too long. Any suggestions????
How does your program work?
I don’t focus on formal levels. What we focus on is getting my daughter to learn skills at her pace and with success. What matters most is your child being able to achieve what their best is. That… read more
Hi, I have a son who is over 5 years old and has autism who is still in diapers
Over the past 3-4 months, he's been exhibiting some changes in behavior when it comes to diaper changes. It started with him refusing to acknowledge when he had pooped in his diaper. He wouldn't let me change it and instead would have a major meltdown. He wanted to keep it on and continue doing whatever he was doing. He would happily sit in his dirty diaper all day if I allowed it, as it didn't bother him at all.… read more
Thank you @A MyAutismTeam Member. It had been calm for a few days until yesterday. When I found him sitting in his room rocking back and forth on his bottom again after he'd pooped, I tried to handle… read more
Thank you for your kind words.
I guess you’re limited as to what you can say in the first part of the Q&A section. So, I will continue here. I’ll try to make it brief. I’ve noticed a change in his personality lately. He always seemed to be happy before. He’s still bedwetting. He’s also got dark circles under his eyes. He’s also quite a bit thinner than before he went into the home. Is this normal? I thought maybe it’s because of the changes he’s been through. Any ideas?
Please talk to Manager and staff and ask. I’m always asking at Care Home everyone
Is there anyone with an adult aged son or daughter living with them receiving Social Security that can provide some feedback on how that is going? Has anyone had to call their local branch for changes in employment, address, change of representatives for the individual, etc... Thanks in advance for any responses.
My point...I want to know THE OPINIONS of how other states do things from THOSE WHO RECEIVE THE BENEFITS. Plus....why would I ask a social security employee how their benefits impact the recipients… read more
I need recommendations, please. A Judge just recently changed the custody arrangements for my son with autism pretty drastically. He is very attached to me. I had him 70% of the time...him going no more than 3 days without seeing me. She changed the schedule to 50-50, one week on, one week off. This is too much change for him. This is a temporary schedule change. The judge doesn't understand that "just" temporarily doesn't work for kids on the spectrum. I'm looking for any articles, information… read more
Also, if your son has a therapist; maybe they could write a letter to the court addressing the issue along with appropriate suggestions and recommendations.
