My son is 7 not potty trained yet. Me and my wife live in California. A treacher suggested we send my son to a place out of state in Virginia to help him more. This would just crush me. I think I would try medication and other therapy here before I even attempted that. What is everyone's opinion on what to do? Son says only a handful of words. Thanks all in advance.

if my son is playing a game on the copmuter or ps2 and he loses he has a complete meltdown, and i try to calm himm down but talking to him only makes him madder and holding him makes it worse so then my dad(who doesnt understand autism) comes to the bedroom(which has no door on it for me to be able to shut,and tells me to just spank his behind. But I dont want to teach him to hit or slap any more than he does already, anyone got advice, i sure could use it

I’m listening to the audiobook, and I find it so interesting and helpful. I’m noticing my daughter’s coping skills and her improvement. She is communicating her needs to me and advocating for herself.

I have had my two children (6&4) sleeping with me for the last 6 months or so exclusively. Before that, my daughter with sleep issues would get up between 10pm and 3am every night and crawl in bed, or wake up no later than 4am daily, or both. For me it's less disruptive to my sleep to just have my kids in here, although privacy (didn't have much to begin with) goes out the window for the most part. So, I gave up. My 22 year old non verbal autistic son struggles to go to sleep every night even though he takes medication, him not sleeping stresses me out because he needs sleep, and I also have to tap his chest every night because he can’t sleep by himself and he always needs someone with him, I am with him all night and I can’t get sleep myself until he can get his sleep, I hope I can find a solution to this problem please give suggestions, Thank you!
