How to apply for disability for son
Thank you PauletteNewman!
I've been trying to find a support group for parents of adult children on the autism spectrum for a long time. My son and I live in a small town, so resources are very limited.
There are several fb groups.
Check in with Eastern Michigan University's Autism Collaborative Clinic. They're outstanding and will be able to get you hooked up. Good luck!
Looking for public schools districts in SE Michigan that have a good reputation for working with children on the Autism Spectrum. Any advice on where to turn?
We could start our own. What area are you in?
I would like to find out the same thing. Especially Indiana.
My son wants to throw things away. I have no idea why he wants to do this. But he wants to throw things away so badly that he actually will rip up items so he "justify" throwing them away. He throws away books, clothes, food, etc. It happens every day, throughout the day, and multiple times per day.
He's 18 so I can't physically stop him. I am able to delay him. He also gets sneaky about it to the extent of getting up during the night to throw things away.
Ideas anyone?
Did you ever find a solution to this? Currently dealing with the exact same behavior.
Our 11 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with high functioning aspergers. She will be in sixth grade next year and we are looking for the best option for schools for her. Either public, private or charter. Any suggestions?
I see this was several years ago. I'm curious what you ended up deciding and how your child ended up doing?
