My grandson is getting in trouble at school because he’s pushing or biting other kids. We’ve had many conversations, but he always gets easily frustrated and reacts this way. How do we help him?
Im so sorry to hear this. You must feel stressed about it. I agree with what’s been said. The behaviours are showing overwhelm or distress. This means staff need to be proactive. Sometimes those… read more
I don't know if it's just me or the way I disapplining him, but every time he agrees to not do something 5 min later he is doing it again. When I ask he says he forgot. I have tried every form out there except carpal punishment and spankings, has anyone found a technique that is working?
I would never get to that point or ever allow anyone else to abuse my son, it was more of a shock and awe, and worked perfectly because they have not said it since. Personally i felt they had no right… read more
What do you encourage for independent play. Be have drawing and puzzles down but can't seem to find anything else she'll take interest in. She's almost 3 and electronics are not an option at this time.
Musicial instruments is a thought. I'd love for her to learn to play something. :)
My son is being "unsafe" at school by climbing on the desks, falling into the floor, taking his shoes off, and rolling down the hallway in between classes, and being more aggressive towards his teachers. I have to leave work every time to go and get him because his teachers can not handle him and I have only been at my job full-time for 5 months. Any suggestion on resolving this issue???!
Thanks everyone.

My son just turned 3 he has been having behavor problems for the past 6 months or so. He hits and kicks, and head butts. He mostly only does it to me. We had a behavioral Theropist come out, she suggested I just walk away. My son can run. He would never just let me walk away. I've tried spanking it seems to upset him but, not enough to stop what he is doing. Anyone have any suggestions I might try. What worked for you?
If you are having an issue with a child hitting, why would you hit? If he is being aggressive and you are being agressive how would he see it is wrong. Its frutrating yes, but spanking is the exact… read more
My 10yr old son Loud...loves trying to get reactions out of people. He tries to provoke a whole range of emotions from people. The biggerother the better. Wether its laughing or screaming in anger. I'm working on getting my son started on ABA therapy. Since this is a "newer treatment" I was wondering what are some experiences parents have had and how they feel about it.
ABA saved our life, or at least made it more enjoyable!!!
