Hygeine
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My 13 yo DD with Asperger's has learned the art of faking showers. She goes in the bathroom and .... ? She comes out with her hair wet but has not stepped into the shower let alone used soap. Short of taking her into the shower physically I do not see a solution. She smells awful and even the school has commented on it. The Psychiatrist has not had any input. Charts and schedules don't seem to help. I have been told "she's 13" " This is what they do at 13..."

My son loves to eat and eats quite a few things, but he will regurgitate his food and seems to be eating it a second time ( so gross I know). I don't know why he does this or even how to stop it, any ideas would be great.

Problems With Putting Too Much Food Into Mouth?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone else have a problem with their kids putting too much food in their mouth at once? Little Man will literally put almost an entire half sandwich in his mouth at once and then try to chew it up. Is this an autism/sensory thing? That possibility just occured to me today but I don't know if there's actually a connection there. Anyone else have experience with this?

My daughter has been dignosed with aspesgers and autism. Shes about to be 6. And my 4 year old has some of the same symtoms but shes worse when it comes to melt downs. How To Get A Toddler To Wear Socks?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My daughter will not wear socks. She cries and has a really bad reaction if I try to put them on her. Her shoes and feet smell terrible. I know it seems silly but I don't know what to do about it. I have washed her shoes, but it seems to make the smell worse. I am at the point where I have to get her new shoes at least once a month or more because the smell is awful. Has anyone had this issue and if so is there a certain pair of socks that might be more comfortable then others for her or should… read more
