How do I introduce them to the issue? How do I ask for appropriate help and support? What is the right thing to say and what is not? Help my ex wont give my son his meds on the weekends or vacation time he has him. so my son goes days without it and comes home more upset and violent with his sisters and me. I have try to talk to his father about making sure that he gets it but got told that he can give it to himself which the doctor says no because of where he is on the spectrum. we just moved back from a long stay in the middle east and our son is autistic with ID and he is now 25 years old. we live in virginia now and looking for any program that can help us place him even if it is a private as all the state funded has a long waiting list. so we can pay for his placement until such time we get the waiver approval. please help us if you you have a name or a resource of a consultant to guide us through

We have been going back and forth. With our 25 year old son who is autistic, with aggressive behaviors. He was on respiradone and the doctor changed it to invega which worked for the first 7 days and then all hell broke loose whe. He started to become so hyperactive and was eating until he vomits. My daughter and 2 of her classmates will soon "age-out" of our state's education program for special needs children. They have "behaviors" that will prevent them from obtaining and keeping a job. What do you encourage for independent play. Be have drawing and puzzles down but can't seem to find anything else she'll take interest in. She's almost 3 and electronics are not an option at this time.

My 5 year old son often asks me, "Is this a dream?". Do I need to be concerned about this? Is he not understanding reality vs. Fantasy? Could this be a sleep issue? Anyone else have this issue?
