My son is 21 and attends our local community college. He's there to get his GED because his high school "decided" to give him a local diploma because they felt he "couldn't do it". Turns out..with alot of support...HE CAN do it.. I am pushing hard to get this GED for him, but Math always sets him back. Even though I have 2 much older boys, my 2&1/2 yr old Ryan seems genius to me. From early on I could telL he was 'advanced'. He walked at 8 mos.He would stack Kenya blocks 5 high by 1yr (vertically ) and if he couldn't successfully, first thing next morning, he would get up..stack 5 high and go back to bed. My son was not diagnosed with ASD until he was 11, he is now almost 13. Prior to that he was diagnosed with ADHD and ODD. After a reevaluation this summer it was determined he has Asperger's and ADHD.
