I am looking for a elementary school in San Diego that have good special ed programs for my autistic son. We live in san Diego unified school district boundary. I wonder if it's complicated to enroll for schools in another district for a kid with IEP?
Chula vista school district is very good and have friends that send there children to there schools and seems like funding is very good and have great services offer.theres many ways to go about it… read more
My son, who is 12, is doing very well academically in school, but still struggles socially. He does not have behavior issues anymore and has functioned completely independently both last year and also this year in school. Overall, he is doing very well, but still has so much to learn in regards to social skills. I am planning to move to St.Louis MO,Kirkwood,Ladue,Chesterfield area.
I look ed High school websites and most of them do not have special ed department!
Are the public school special ed services in St Louis area good or bad?My son is 15 years old and has high functioning Autism.
If the services are bad,I would not move.
Please help if you live in this area and have similar child.

Hi, I live in middlesex county in NJ, planning to move to millburn township/short hills area. Does anybody live around that area. How are the special ed services.Especially Pre-school program are there?
I just had an informal meeting with the teacher who will be drafting my 3 yo son's IEP. The initial suggestion is to start with 3 days of Special Ed PreSchool at Moorefield Station, Ashburn. Is there any place where I could find some information on the Special Ed Schools and the programs offered. Or all schools pretty much follow the same set of programs?
