My granddaughter lives with us every other week. I have started to notice a pattern with our daughter during that time. She is more distracted cause she wants so badly to play with her niece. I get that, and I can understand wanting to play with a baby. However I see behaviors of wanting to play with the babies toys, more incontinent issues, baby talk, and more crying episodes, ( not melt downs or mini melts). How do I facilitate the integration of my 9 year old son who has always been in unchallengung autism specific classes in public school into a mainstream classroom.he is capable he just is held back behaviorally and academically by the classes hr has been in.I'm so weary I can't take on another fight.any clever ideas?

My son is on a Gluten Free diet. What are the best tasting pre packaged products? Bread or biscuits, replacements for cheese and snacks.

My 4yo just got over what suspected to be the flu bc my oldest had just gotten over something similar , he seemed completely fine yesterday then woke again at 2 am this morning throwing up again....just a bit...no fever...could him recently being sick have triggered GI?...I have no clue what to think.

Any kindergarten success stories you can share? He is at preschool with lots and lots of play time and he does really well there. Next year we are looking at a place that has academics until 3 pm, with 15 mins for recess, 45 mins for lunch. That’s it for unstructured play time. Then there’s 50 mins of PE Monday’s and Wednesday’s, 30 mins of PE on Thursdays. Seems like Friday’s are very light (cooking, art, hanging out). We are in the process of weaning our 10 yr old off of fluvoxamine as he is showing signs of severe side effects ( extreme aggression/ rages) Since we started taking him off it ( almost 3 week process) , we have seen a slight improvement in his aggression. He is also on intuniv at night. His doctor would like to try risperdal with that to address his attention, impulsivity,anxiety and aggression. Has anyone tried this combination with their kiddo?
