Please do not ignore physical health when dealing with mental health problems is message I would like noted by others and professionals - not to abuse or neglect someone with mental health issues - case appearing which refers to this but I have not included

Anyone have their child on Lexapro? Doctor suggested that medication for my son's anxiety and depression. Can anyone tell me about it please.
I had good luck and zero side effects taking it in college. It did not work well for my nonverbal son. We had to stop it for him after a week. Abilify works well for him now. Everyone's body chemistry… read more

Am I still qualified to be my autistic child's in home provider through IHSS (In Home Supportive Services), if I am on disability (SSDI), for having anxiety disorder and being on medication prescribed by my psychiatrist for anxiety to me for over ten years, as long as I can successfully provide for my child's needs without my anxiety causing any disruptions or limitations in doing so?
Behaviors
Absolutely. My son has a splintered profile. His sensory needs change like the weather, so things can go up and down quite randomly
We are taking our 10 year old daughter with classic autism to Disney World in january, which spurred us to start looking at trackers. I think we have decided it would be a good investment, regardless of the trip, to get her a tracker. Does anyone have experience with them? It is kind of overwhelming trying to choose the right one. I appreciate any suggestions or anecdotes. Thanks!
I just found this deal online. I think for the price it would be worth a try. I love that I can call the watch and talk to him if I need to. https://www.opensky.com/bluelans/product/anti-l...

@A MyAutismTeam Member, the NAC seems to compliment his other medications. I've purchased NAC from Life Extensions several times.
My son wants to throw things away. I have no idea why he wants to do this. But he wants to throw things away so badly that he actually will rip up items so he "justify" throwing them away. He throws away books, clothes, food, etc. It happens every day, throughout the day, and multiple times per day.
He's 18 so I can't physically stop him. I am able to delay him. He also gets sneaky about it to the extent of getting up during the night to throw things away.
Ideas anyone?
Did you ever find a solution to this? Currently dealing with the exact same behavior.
