Has anyone tried ABM special-needs therapy or her DVD programs? Please let me know your views about it
You can get folate supplements or even better folinic acid, less harmful than folic acid. Or ask your doctor for methylated folate. methylated folate is folic acid that has already been broken down… read more

My daughter recently diagnosed with mild
Autism. She is picky eater and having severe constipation. Can I give her PediaSure?
Hi @A MyAutismTeam Member
Thank you for your reply
Probiotic didn’t work for her.
Recently I found out she hates the colour and smell of her stools. So she won’t hold her stools. Kind of slowly… read more
My son is a very picky eater and always has been. He is going to be 6 years old this December. I am afraid that this could affect his development and it really does scare me. Especially, now that there are always commercials about "80% of the brain developing in the first 3 years." I did give him a multi vitamin prescribed by his pediatrician but did not start giving it to him until his 1 year check up (Qualitest Multi-Vit with Flouride). I just didn't even think about vitamins before that, I do… read more
What about smoothies? i blend up the chewable version of the vitamin into the smootihie because my kids are so picky
I recently noticed the multivitamin I have been giving my kids has red dye 40. I want to give my kids a better vitamin. In my research, I found out kids with ASD need certain vitamins and minerals to feel better. I would love some input on what some of you give, and I'd also like to know why iron and copper are contraindicated.
I know its a lot but with my calculations of minerals and vitamins it is very similar in cost. It is a great vitamin. My son has made improvements. Its hard to explain these improvements overall… read more
Does anyone recommend a certain multivitamin? I see a bunch of different vitamins that contains extra omega 3's, iron, etc. My daughter is a picky eater so i know she doesn't get all the nutrients she needs. She will only eat gummy vitamins. We have tried the flinstones kind but they seem a little bit too hard to chew. I will talk with her MD and see what he thinks but i thought i'd try here as well...thanks!
Thank you for the responses! I think i may give the Omega3 supplement a try. If she lets me give it to her.
Does anyone have an asd child that is on lamictal/ clonodine/ or guafesine (adhd) that has them on a probiotic? Trying to decide to start my son on a vitamin w probiotic but not sure if it would interfere?
Clonidine at night for sleep saved our lives. But obviously talk to a child psychiatrist. Our sleep specialist told us low iron often interferes with good sleep so he’s taking Renzos iron w vitamin C… read more
Hi friends, can you share experiences of GFCF diet on your kids ? Does it improve speech?
That’s wonderful Information. Can you please suggest any website where I can get dosage information for 3yr old ASD kids esp for fish oil. and multivitamins. Thanks.
Is it abit too much and I am only phoning to see if he has eaten - he is not eating properly - all the time fruits and no carbohydates(rice/bread/potatoes), protein(meat) or vegetables
Am I being unreasonable - as they don't take him to doctor when he gets like this which is often
I actually look at this issue little differently firstly why is he only eating fruits mainly for two reasons he has less patience to sit and eat so fruits especially if they are cut then it’s quick… read more
Hey All! I am looking for ideas for a gluten free, dairy free drink for my 3yo son with ASD. I googled it and found OneSource- it is lactose free but made from milk. He is not lactose intolerant.. it is a full-on dairy allergy. No whey or casein so that isn't going to work. I know there has to be SOMETHING out there along the lines of Boost or Ensure.. with his autism he is VERY particular about what he will eat. I have him on a multivitamin but I feel like I need to do more. Any suggestions?
Don't even bother with the neocate...it just impossible to drink it taste awful...try other milks. Even thought it doesn't have many calories as ensure, they are really good for autistic kids. I will… read more
